Year 3 Instructions
As part of our instructions unit, we looked at how to make chocolate crispy cakes. We looked at how to make instructions more informal by adding opinions and tips for the reader. Can you write some instructions using the pictures?
Year 3 Cemetery Trip
As part of our science topic ‘Rocks and soils’, we conducted a geological walk through the City of London cemetery. We used the trip to research whether sedimentary rocks are the best kind of rock to make a sculpture.
Birch Class Library Trip
Birch class enjoyed their recent visit to Green Street library and can’t wait to go again with their families. They now understand where to find a range of texts and some children joined the library winter reading challenge.
Year 3 book corners
Additionally, the children have been involved in creating the class book corner. Our years' Laureate is Cressida Cowell who wrote the 'How to train your Dragon.' series. A big congratulations to Spruce Class for coming second place in the Orwell Road competition. I am sure the children will enjoy the lovely new books Ms. Brown will be buying with their prize money!
Yea 3 Landmarks
Each class was given a London landmark to research in order to explore the wonderful city that we live in. The landmarks in year three include: The Royal Greenwich Observatory, The Globe, The OXO Tower, The Tower of London and The Shard. Each class produced fact files, researched key historical events and created artwork based on their landmark.
