Upton Cross Eco-Warriors
At Upton Cross, we have an Eco Team that is run for and by the children. Two representatives from each class are elected following their application to be an ‘Eco Warrior’. It is their job to take ideas from their classmates, discuss changes in our school and work with their own classes to make green changes.
The representatives meet every other week to discuss any projects or ideas they would like to take forward based on their own class discussions and ideas. The Eco Warriors will then carry out their projects with their classes over the year.
The Eco Team feedback their work to the rest of the school through class assemblies and through class discussions to ensure their ideas are implemented across the school and communication is consistent.
Who are our Eco Warriors?
Congratulations to the children that have been selected by their class as Eco Warriors.
Our Eco Warriors will wear a badge and represent their class at whole school meetings. They will learn more about climate change and feel empowered to take action in their school community. They will develop leadership, communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
