Upton Cross Primary School

This year we are busy creating murals in our main and EYFS playgrounds.

Have a look at our clay gallery for different Year groups below to se our progress towards our new mural!

Acorns have been using clay for the mural workshops and learnt to use tools to make marks and patterns. Their work will be fired in a kiln and glazed to be part of the mural design, they cannot wait to see the results!

Reception have been busy creating textured clay tiles. Once they are fired they will be joined together to create trunks of trees and the border for our designs. Which is your favourite tile?

 Year 1

Year 1 moulded clay into shapes and attached pieces together. They created patterns with stamps. The final pieces will be part of the murals in the nursery garden and entrance of the school.

 Year 3

Year 3 have been tasked with creating leaves. To show the patterns and textures we used tools to score into the clay.
