Panto 2021 - 'A Christmas Carol'

World Book Day 2021

Thursday 8th March 2021 marked a very special day for the children at Upton Cross Primary School - World Book Day! Although this year was to be an online-only event, that did not dampen the spirits of the children. They really engaged with the activities set and got to indulge their passion for reading for a whole day. To help the children make the most of the event, their teachers created a fantastic range of reading-based activities for them to enjoy including: shared novel reading, online library ‘escape rooms’, bookmark making, story dice, creative writing and book illustration. And, of course, no World Book Day is complete without the opportunity to dress up as our favourite book characters! How many can you recognise in our photos?
